This is an update to one of the graphs and some of the observations in The 21st-century Collapse of American Job Growth , and is an update to one of the graphs and some of the observations in The 21st-century Cratering of US Labor Force Participation .   The update adds coverage of both employment growth data and labor force participation data for the years 1947, ’48, and 2021 through ’23, as well as of labor force participation data for the first 11 months of 2024.
