Ripples ’n’ Silver
& other poetry mined from the Mother Lode
by
Curtis Hagen
Your colors are neutrally palatable,
soft like blanket,
as you massage the backs of small boulders and colorful cobble.
Wet you are,
you shimmer in black & white as the sun fades over the mountain,
flirting with your subtle, sudsy bath, as you trickle down below.
Twilight falls,
and the crescent moon blushes, as your flow is liquid silver,
running through the veins of your uncertain, but trusted channels.
Thank you for this passing kiss,
this sip, this taste,
of your nourishing being.
